Leaf of Friendship - Tree Planting Ceremony

"Leaf of Friendship", an environment initiative taken by RotaractMora in collaboration with RAC of Nallur Heritage was successfully held on 30th September and 1st October in Jaffna City. Redefining the freindship between the communities of Jaffna and Colombo, a group of our members visited Jaffna in order to carry out the project. Bringing together the two communities a campfire and a friendly cricket match was held and connecting the children with nature 1000 trees were planted by the children in Jaffna on the Children's Day.

"Soorya Rashmi" the bond of two cultures

"There are friends, there is family and then there are friends that become family..." "Soorya Rashmi", official Awurudu celebrations of Rotaract Mora, was held on 28th of April at Lagaan, University of Moratuwa. Abiding by the Rotaract year theme "Engage Rotaract. Redefine friendship", members from Rotaract Clubs of Nallur Heritage and Alumni of University of Moratuwa joined hands with us on this event which was full of excitement and entertainment. Strarting off with boiling milk in a new earthen pot to signify prosperity, throughout the day the Rotaractors had tremendous fun engaging in numerous games like "Kotta Pora", "Kanaa Mutti" and "Pani bambare". The day ended leaving with everyone a bunch of everlasting memories worth a lifetime.
